Maybe because this is the second volume in the Life and Death series that I wasn't able to fully appreciate the story. I've watched the 1986 movie Aliens and I can't help myself from comparing this graphic novel to that. The only similarity I could point out is how the aliens look alike, but the movie was beyond petrifying than this.

What would your reaction be if you encounter nasty zombies that never die because they keep on generating? And what's more is that someone is commanding them on what to do! It's not only terrible, but it's indeed horrifying!



At least the group of Stulinger, Russman, Marlton, and Misty were still in their state of mind when they'd encountered these unusual horde of zombies. In the end, could this four be safe with Stunlinger's so-called friend who was trying to help them, or they were just being used?

Hiznobyuti is a fun and inspirational story, yet there are poignant parts as well. The book is about the boy called Hiznobyuti who was born differently from his family because of his facial feature.

The first part of the story when Hiznobyuti's family was not treating him was really upsetting. The most heartbreaking part was when his father has decided to put bricks under the sink where Hiznobyuti stays.

The story teaches young kids and reminds adults to be courageous, forbearing, kind, persevering, compassionate and most especially, to be forgiving. Despite what Hisnobyuti's family did to him in the past, he learned to forgive, and even love and took care of them in the end.

MY RATING: While reading, I can't help but think that the people in this graphic novel also looks like monster. Or maybe they are just ugly looking that's why they are like that. (hahaha) Anyhow, I like how unique the story is and the twist in the ending is quite surprising also. MY RATING:I had read a similar plot of the story in this graphic novel before. In spite of that, I found myself entertain reading this because of the artwork and of the dialogues. I'll recommend this to those who enjoys reading comic or graphic novels, and to those who like a light-read but still has a good plot.

MY RATING: Question No. 6 is a popular illustrator from Japan and this graphic novel of hers is a little odd. The story is also quite unusual and I neither love it nor hate it. I don't understand what message the second part of the story wants to convey. Perhaps it has a secret message and that I just wasn't able to decode what it means that's why i found it strange.

MY RATING: If you are just like me who loves reading dystopian type of stories, then you would also enjoy reading this graphic novel written and illustrated by Canadian comic artist, Thierry Labrosse. The story may not be original because I'd read or watched a similar plot before. However, Labrosse is a good storyteller; I reckon he carefully outline the storyline thus, the end-product is well executed. This first volume of the Ab Irato compiles Chapter 1 to 3 of the series plus several pages in the end for the author's sketches. Thank you to Lion Forge, LLC for the ARC of this.

MY RATING: I had a hard time deciding on what should I rate this first volume of the Horizon comic series. I like the story because it sort of reminds me of the The Matrix, but there are certain parts that confused me. Therefore, I rated this 3 stars instead of 4 because I was left with several unanswered questions.Thanks to Image Comics for the providing a copy of this graphic novel.
